On 24 January 2009, Kanchana, whose latest stunt at Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum in Pattaya made it to the Guinness Book of World Records, had earlier been the first person in the world to set a record of having a scorpion in her mouth for two minutes and three seconds.            The new world’s record was made be her as she lived with 5,000 scorpions for 33 days and 33 nights. The dignitaries including Mr. Ittiphon Khunpluem, Mayor of Pattaya City, Mr. Niti Khong-krut, Director of TAT Pattaya Office, Somporn Nakseutrong, Manager of Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum and hundreds of press and tourists witnessed her success at the press release organized by Minor Group International Company Limited, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Pattaya City..

           Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum will send this new record back to the Guinness Book of World Records in order that the Thai scorpion queen will be certified.

           The event organizer presented her Bt100,000 and prizes from the official sponsors, having photo shot as memory of one page of the world’s record.
